Welcome to the site for the Improver's Chess Club. We are actively involved in 12 local schools in providing professional chess coaching running their lunchtime and after school chess clubs. A student's comprehensive Chess Education needs will be taken care of, irrespective of the level of the student. We strive to provide interactive coaching which meets the needs of our students.
Our aim is to attain success in chess tournaments for our students, giving them a competitive edge.

We have a panel of chess coaches with vast experience in chess coaching.
Our chief coach is International Master & FIDE Trainer Vaidyanathan Ravikumar who has had remarkable successes, both as a player and as a trainer. His insight into the game alongside his practical knowledge has already helped many youngsters achieve international success. He was the National Coach of the UAE Chess Federation and has achieved much success in attaining 3 Asian Medals in the Youth Championship. He is also the chess consultant for Asian Chess Federation based in UAE
Tony Corfe is our Director of Chess Coaching and has been involved in teaching chess in schools since 1976.

Internationally rated Dommnic Allen Perez has been involved in chess coaching in schools for several years. An experienced chess player and coach, Dominic has just completed a DVD on chess coaching.
